A company which brokered the first environmental credit in the country has joined forces with Green Plumbers to form Australia's first integrated environmental services and commodities broking company, Green Invest Ltd. The new company plans for an IPO and to list on the ASX on 10 th January 2008.
Initially comprising Nextgen, Australia's No. 1 environmental broking company, and Green Plumbers, Australia's No. 1 environmental products and installation business, Green Invest aims to extend its first mover advantage and capture a major slice of the potential multi-billion dollar market predicted to boom over the next few years.
The vision for Green Invest is to establish a market leading, integrated portfolio of complementary businesses across key elements of the environmental services and commodities value chain.
"With the gradual global acceptance that human actions are a key influence on climate change, governments are now developing policies with stricter greenhouse gas emission targets," said Chairman of Green Invest, Mr David Galbally.
GreenPlumbers are a group of accredited plumbers from the Master Plumbers and Mechanical Services Association of Australia with environmental goals such as energy efficiency and water conservation.
Nextgen are an energy brokerage set up to encourage businesses in the trade to develop and sustain environmentally friendly practices.
Together, the newly-formed company, Green Invest, has a vision to be the premium integrated environmental services and commodities business in Australia.
