School Water Audits

Our company was commissioned to perform 165 water audits and remedial processes reports to schools in SA, Vic and Qld.

Each report had a fully costed remedial action plan, the schools then applied for a Community Water Grant (CWG). We were successful with 43 grants for the round 1 of the grants where only 20% of applications were approved. We are in the process of rolling out $1,700,000.00 of water saving initiatives including an education program for students. The estimated annual water savings of these projects is 83.5 Megalitres off their current usage of 141.6 Megalitres delivering an estimated saving of 58.9%.

Caroma Smartflush Retrofit program

We were approached by Caroma to perform a "supply and install" marketing campaign. This was a small budget campaign that was simply to measure the consumers needs and to develop a formula in making retrofit toilets an easy consumer choice. Caroma placed some advertising in some local papers and two ad's in the Herald sun in Melbourne. They though that anything over 100 retrofits would be a good result. We still have calls coming in and have converted over 700 single flush toilet suites to dual flush with an estimated yearly saving of approximately 19Mgl. This proves that consumers are concerned with the current water levels and if a solution is simple then they will do their part.

Licensees Projects

Our company has 200 operatives working under our licensee system. They have performed many of Melbourne's major environmental projects. We take their experience forward with us as part of our team. Some examples of projects are listed below:

7. Yarra Tram Depot, use of rain water to wash trams.
8. Installed flow controllers in 570 Burke St (33 story building) saved 8Megalitres pa.
9. Installed flow controllers 601 St Kilda Rd.
