MPMSAA provides the nationally accredited Course in Green Plumbers Environmental Solutions (21596VIC) for licensed/registered plumbers.

The Green Plumbers® training program is designed to assist plumbers in understanding their role in relation to environmental & public health, and to provide their customers with up to date information and advise on:

• latest technology and energy saving appliances
• practical appliances & installation knowledge
• environmental impacts of plumbing services, appliances and household practices
• consumer information
• energy/water/cost savings (short term and long term cost comparisons and environmental benefits)

This course is comprised of 9 units of study:

Core Units

Climate Care (8 Hours)

• VBP187 - Develop and Advise on Domestic Plumbing Climate Care Measures

Caring for our Water (8 Hours)

• VBP188 - Determine Water Conservation Measures

Solar Hot Water (6 Hours)

• VBP189 - Identify and Advise on Solar Hot Water Systems

Inspection Reports (4 Hours)

• VBP191 - Present an environmental plumbing inspection report

Water Efficient Technology (8 Hours)

• VBP190 - Prepare a Domestic Plumbing Inspection Report

Commercial Hot Water (8 Hours)

• VPAU286 - Identify and Advise on Efficient Commercial Heated Water Systems

Principles in Pumps (8 Hours)

• VPAU287 - Apply basic principles of urban pumps

Natural Wastewater Design and Treatment (8 Hours)

• VPAU285 - Advise on Natural Wastewater Treatment Systems

Principles in Urban Irrigation (8 Hours)
